wildlife art

     in need for contemporary      interpretation

Wildlife art - there is no other element more classic in the visual arts.. Since the early Stone Age, humans have been captivated with their fellow species, immortalising this relationship on canvas.

I try to reflect my own fond relationship with animals in my paintings. Having been fortunate enough to grow up alongside wild animals, my love only increased during the years I lived in Mongolia, Southern and Central Africa and North America.

According to my view all animals have a soul and this is that I hope to reflect in my art. I want to give the individual animals their own platform.

I observed this young guy at South Luangwa National Park in Zambia for hours, giving me the inspiration to some paintings on young elephants. Check out the website of my son Max Joschka to see more terrific wildlife photography.
